On a small island in the middle of the Cinnamon Archipelago, a young woman by the name of Ruby runs a small drink shop catering to traveling fishermen. Mixing together fruit in her giant blender, she is able to scrape together a humble living selling her delicious concoctions. 

She has been warned on many occasions against settling on the island due to the mysterious ruins located therein. Sure, there have been some strange noises coming from the ancient doorway that leads to the ruins. And OK, more and more of her fruits have been mysteriously vanishing while she is asleep. But nothing will make her abandon her dream of becoming the most profitable drink shop in all of the Cinnamon Archipelago!

However…

On this very day, the unthinkable has happened…

Striding over to her drink stand to great the sailors and the morning sun in kind, she hears some strange noises coming from the cupboard. Opening it carefully, she jumps back in horror as two massive slimes barrel out and past her toward the ruins, leaving a trail of slime in their wake!

In the glow of morning light, she sees what looks like dozens of fruits floating inside of their bodies. She looks in horror at her stand only to find it absolutely emptied of all of its fruit! As she looks around in panic, it appears that all of the trees are also barren, picked clean by those dastardly slimes! Thirsty sailors are already lining up at the dock to get their morning refreshments. 

“What am I gonna do?!” Ruby wonders frantically. 

“Unless…” She dips a finger in the slime trail with zero hesitation. 

“This is…” She ponders, swishing the slime around in her mouth, “absolutely………DELICIOUS!!”

The glint of steel reflects the light dancing upon the waves as Ruby pulls her twin daggers out of her rucksack and looks toward the ominous ruins. . 

“Time to make some drinks.”

It’s a short, fun adventure I created for The Thoughtful Jam. It was created in 21 days and is far from a completely polished product, but I hope there is some fun to be had in it, regardless!

Goal: Kill slimes, sell their delicious juice, and buy cool stuff to decorate your island or power up Ruby on her adventure!
